Fixing a broken nail in a jiffy.

Is there a quick fix for a broken nail?

Trying to fix a broken nail with instant set glue or all other kind of inventions is a lost cause because you're going to have to lose that nail at some point in time.

Cut off the damaged part, polish it, and stop thinking about it -- no one will notice!

If you insist to repair your nail on the spot; one is to use super glue to hold the nail.

If the nail is torn into the quick, it's a very painful thing, but a drop of super glue will prevent further discomfort and hold the nail in place. Just know that the polish under the super glue will not come off with polish remover. It must wear off or come off with the super glue, whenever it loses its grip.
And, unless you get lucky and the super glue goes on perfectly smooth, there will be lumpiness to the texture of the nail, where the super glue is.
